Display Energy Certificates
Display Energy Certificates (DEC) are required for all public buildings that have a floor area greater than 250m2 and are frequently visited by the public. The DEC gives an overview of how much energy the building uses on an annual basis and grades the building on a scale of A to F with A being very energy efficient and G being the opposite.
The DEC is designed to show the public how energy efficiently the public authority which is occupying the building is using it. The DEC must be displayed in a prominent place within the building so that it can be easily viewed by the public.
